At Forward to the Basics, we believe that agriculture is more than food production.  We are building a living story of resilience, heritage, and creativity through our mission to cultivate hands-on immersive farm experiences that reconnect families and youth to the land, preserve agricultural traditions, and inspire future leaders in sustainable agriculture.

 

Through our family-scale learning farm campuses, we are creating stimulating educational environments where young people and families engage with agriculture as a creative experience. From tending livestock and chickens to harvesting from heritage fruit trees, participants learn not only practical farming skills but also the stories of communities and ancestral farming knowledge that shape our landscapes.

 

It is our mission to make sure that intergenerational agricultural knowledge is preserved and passed forward as a living legacy.
